If you have not been here before, the hall is set back from the road within the higher car park.

Kit list

Dress to impress! We generally remove collars, but if you have a favourite you want them to wear, bring it along.

We will have some treats, but in case of allergies or tolerances, please provide your own treats and/or toys. These are helpful to settle into the studio, keep attention, and provide reward. Treats should be small so we can provide numerous reinforcements throughout the shoot.

If your dog is nervous, why not bring a blanket, toy, or other comfort item?

Timings

To avoid any potential conflict between unfamiliar dogs, please do not allow your dog to exit the car before your start time.

Dogs must be on the lead until invited to be released once securely inside the hall.

Each slot is 45 minutes. For many, this duration is not needed. However, please ensure dogs are house trained and have been to the toilet before entering the hall.

What To Expect

When you arrive, you will be collected from the car park. Please keep your dog in your car until other dogs have left the facility.

When you enter the hall, your dog will be invited to explore and get comfortable. To help your dog settle in, please enter the studio calmly and confidently. A relaxed, reassuring approach sets the tone perfectly.

We will then get accustomed to the lights. We will flash the lights! Our job is to provide reassurance, treats, and encouragement.

Then the fun starts. We will progress through a series of poses and lighting setups – taking breaks whenever needed. Your job is to help direct your dog’s attention. I will offer instruction here.

Studio shoots are great fun. I think they are a great form of play for our dogs. The exact shots we get really depend on your dog’s comfort and obedience.

Please inform me of any concerns for your dog. This might include any current injury or specific anxieties.

While we make every effort to create a safe and supportive environment, no photo is worth distressing your dog for. Please inform me of any signs of discomfort or nervousness throughout the shoot.
